Job Overview
The Advisor Consultant will manage a defined territory (set by geography and/or Advisor segmentation), performing external sales functions and working with the US Wealth Advisory Services team to drive sales across all Nuveen products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop consultative relationships with financial advisors across wire, independent and RIA distribution channels.
- Grow Nuveen’s market share and drive revenue for the firm.
- Effectively communicate Nuveen’s solutions, capital markets, and industry trends.
- Incorporate data analytics into territory to identify the best opportunities for success.
- Collaborate with Market Leaders, Advisor Consultants, Specialists, and internal Advisor Consultants.
- Manage pipeline process to track opportunities through all stages of the sales process.
- Share best practices across regional teams.
- Support broader US Wealth Advisory Services campaigns and initiatives.
- Conduct discovery work to review clients’ asset allocations and recommend suitable Nuveen investment solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with centers of influence in the territory.
- Attend industry conferences and events.
- University degree (preferred).
- 3+ years of wholesaling experience (5+ years preferred).
- FINRA Series 7 & 63 (or combination of 63 & 65) obtainable within 90 days of hire.
- Strong combination of sales and analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets, equity and fixed income.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to profile clients and analyze large amounts of information.
- Excellent planning, organization and time‑management skills.
- Sedentary work.
- Career level 7IC.
Base Pay Range: $90,000/yr – $100,000/yr. Compensation may vary based on experience, performance, and other factors, and may include an incentive program linked to performance.
