Position Overview

As a Business Development Manager within PNC’s Financial Wellness Solutions, you will be primarily based in Boston, MA. Your role is to work directly with clients to develop and drive financial wellness programs that align with organizational goals and objectives. You will provide innovative solutions including health and benefit accounts, student debt solutions, earned wage access, and other financial wellness offerings, employing a consultative sales approach to acquire new business relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire new clients and grow sales, revenue, and market share in financial wellness solutions.
  • Work with clients of basic risk and complexity to expand and retain relationships, generating revenue and deepening shares of wallet.
  • Originate, perform financial analysis, negotiate, and document non‑credit products and services.
  • Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating regulatory, reputational, and operational risks.
  • Provide insights and ideas based on an understanding of client needs and financial well‑being to increase engagement and loyalty.
  • Build effective internal and external networks (community and industry) to acquire new clients or expand existing ones, enhancing the client experience.
  • Present the full range of PNC’s products and services to clients, leveraging reporting and sales tools to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and inform on financial wellness solutions, product knowledge, industry benchmarking, and solution positioning.
Qualifications
  • University or college degree or an equivalent combination of education, certification(s), and experience (including military service).
  • 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience (preferred in professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, wholesale, or general services).
  • Strong business acumen, client relationship management, and customer experience skills.
  • Proficiency in decision making, critical thinking, effective communication, prospecting, sales negotiation, and selling.
  • Technical savvy and ability to use reporting and sales tools effectively.
  • Experience building book of business and managing client relationships.
  • Understanding of credit processes and products is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications are welcome but not required.
Salary and Incentives

Base Salary: $76,500.00 – $ (salaries may vary based on location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible with compensation based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
