Job Overview

US Foods is inviting a Territory Manager to drive customer relationships, sales growth, and business development across a dynamic food service region. The role focuses on partnering with customers, leveraging sales tools, and delivering value‑added services to generate new revenue and maintain existing accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Own and nurture customer relationships within a team‑based selling model.
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms, menu consultations, and product pricing strategies.
  • Generate sales success by acquiring new business, increasing case growth, and delivering persuasive sales presentations tailored to each customer.
  • Manage time and territory efficiently to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Collaborate with Specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to maximize market penetration.
  • Identify prospective customers using market intelligence, business directories, client referrals, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Coordinate deliveries according to the routing schedule, troubleshoot order‑process issues, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
  • Provide market insights into product innovations and competitor offerings to add value for customers.
  • Conduct regular site visits, check‑ins, and follow‑ups while traveling by personal vehicle.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in food service, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship‑building, cold‑calling, and new‑business development abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal aptitude.
  • Competitive drive to exceed sales goals.
  • Problem‑solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tech savvy—proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 75 lbs occasionally.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary ranging from $55,000 to $95,000 (subject to experience).
