We are looking for an experienced team lead who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. Strategic Engagement is the value engine of Datavant Life Sciences, accountable for delivering measurable outcomes for our customers by aligning our products and services with their strategic objectives—maximizing value, accelerating time‑to‑impact, and fostering long‑term, expansive relationships.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 4‑5 strategic engagement leads and act as a player‑coach on 1‑2 accounts.
- Provide real‑time support, coaching, and career development for direct reports.
- Lead functional projects that enable growth and scalability within the portfolio.
- Serve as a consultative, strategic advisor to enable client success and end‑to‑end value acceleration.
- Delve deep into learning client goals and how our solutions support them.
- Excel in advanced program management and decision‑making, balancing thoughtful analysis with speed to execution.
- Influence lifetime value through higher product adoption, customer satisfaction, and overall health scores.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, continuous‑improvement environment, embracing ambiguity and seeking clarity for customers and the business.
- Work cross‑functionally, surfacing insights that influence product and sales strategies across account teams.
- Maintain a self‑service‑first approach to problem solving.
- Communicate persuasively, presenting with passion, empathy, and hard work.
- Help create company‑wide culture of customer‑centricity.
- 8+ years in healthcare technology and customer‑facing roles.
- 4+ years in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
- Track record of building deep, trust‑based relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Strategic program and project management experience focused on connective, value‑centric thinking.
- Ability to expand relationships beyond direct contacts through rapport‑building.
- Proven ownership of complex, high‑value customer accounts.
- Strategic thinker who connects cross‑customer trends to shape value propositions.
- Effective, empathetic internal and external communication skills.
- Experience with in one or more of the following areas (required):
- Real‑world data/real‑world evidence companies, CROs, or systems integrators in healthcare.
- Application of RWD and RWE in the pharmaceutical and life sciences space.
- Understanding of drug development and/or clinical trials.
The estimated base salary range (not including variable pay) for this role is: $150,000 — $190,000 USD.
