Job DescriptionThe purpose of this Sales Manager-Generalist is the following:
- Development of new for all revenue streams including:
Group Sales, Preferred transient partners, Events Sales and Private Dining Space for outlets - Coverage in other Sales Manager territories during out of office periods to maximize lead response and conversion
- Lead triage efforts as appropriate to ensure fast and fulsome responses
- Sales Manager will actively conduct prospecting efforts to assist in generating new business opportunities by becoming an expert in all key account mining tools:
- Opera OSEM software
- Cvent Navigator
- Past business & lost business
- Other key prospecting tools and resources
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Conduct prospecting efforts to continue to build pipeline of business opportunities for hotel. Prospecting efforts to include market blitzes or other local trade shows or client networking events.
- Organize monthly team wide prospecting activities.
- Development of top accounts for the hotel
- Assist in maintaining an accurate client and account database in Opera and adherence to all Accor Opera system standards.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business across all hotel revenue streams, including group sales, preferred transient accounts, event sales, and private dining venues.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building activities.
- Maintain a consistent sales pipeline by actively researching and pursuing new accounts, industries, and market segments.
- Utilize prospecting and account management tools, including Opera OSEM, Cvent Navigator, historical business data, lost business reports, and other available resources to identify and cultivate new sales opportunities.
- Conduct regular account mining and market analysis to uncover untapped business opportunities and maximize revenue potential.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and sales leads, ensuring timely follow-up and effective conversion of prospects into confirmed business.
- Support lead triage efforts by evaluating incoming opportunities, prioritizing responses, and directing leads to the appropriate sales resources when necessary.
- Provide sales coverage for other Sales Managers during planned and unplanned absences to ensure uninterrupted customer service, lead management, and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with sales and event sales team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting planners, travel managers, and key business partners to encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and presentations that align with client needs and organizational revenue objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to identify opportunities for business growth and maintain a competitive market position.
- Maintain accurate account, activity, and sales pipeline information within the hotel's customer relationship management (CRM) and sales systems.
