Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Manager to help open and grow our sales efforts at the Harvard Treehouse conference center. This role is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales strategies, client relationship management, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure exceptional event experiences.
Salary: $88,000 - $90,000 per year. Other compensation: bonus.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and key decision‑makers.
- Conduct site tours, presentations, and negotiations to secure bookings.
- Ensure seamless transition from sales to event execution by collaborating with operations and event planning teams.
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets for meetings, conferences, and events.
- Execute planning of events and conferences as needed.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, associations, government, and nonprofit sectors.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for leadership.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with marketing to develop promotional campaigns and materials.
- Represent the conference center at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
- 3–5 years of sales experience in hospitality, event venues, or conference centers.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Experience with Cvent, Salesforce, or similar event/sales platforms.
- Knowledge of local and regional event markets.
- Familiarity with budgeting and revenue management principles.
