Account Executive – Life Sciences Staffing & Workforce Solutions

Location:

Flexible (Preference for Northeast U.S. candidates)

Travel:
Required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 base salary + uncapped variable compensation (OTE: 100% of base)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join a growing life sciences services organization focused on delivering workforce and staffing solutions to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics companies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with experience in life sciences staffing or workforce solutions who is ready to own revenue generation, build strategic client relationships, and grow existing accounts through consultative, solution-based selling.

You’ll partner closely with senior leadership, operations, and subject matter experts while managing opportunities from initial outreach through proposal development, with a defined path toward owning a full book of business.

Key Responsibilities Business Development

Prospect and develop new business opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostics organizations.

Leverage existing industry relationships to generate meetings and qualified sales opportunities.

Build relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, and talent acquisition professionals.

Identify client challenges related to staffing, project delivery, and workforce strategy.

Consultative Sales

Present staffing and Functional Service Provider (FSP) solutions based on client needs.

Lead discovery conversations to understand business objectives and workforce challenges.

Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop customized client solutions.

Advance opportunities from initial conversations through proposal and early-stage sales cycles.

Account Growth

Expand existing client relationships through cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.

Identify opportunities to grow staffing engagements into broader workforce solutions.

Maintain accurate pipeline management and activity tracking within Hub Spot CRM.

Collaboration

Work closely with senior Account Executives and company leadership.

Participate in sales strategy meetings, pipeline reviews, and deal discussions.

Share market intelligence and client feedback to support business growth.

What Success Looks Like

Consistently generates qualified client meetings and new business opportunities.

Builds strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients.

Demonstrates the ability to identify client challenges and recommend effective workforce solutions.

Progresses toward independently managing and growing a book of business.

Qualifications Required
  • 3+ years of sales experience in life sciences staffing, recruiting, or workforce solutions.
  • Proven success managing a sales quota or revenue target.
  • Experience selling into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or diagnostics organizations.
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience leading discovery calls and advancing sales opportunities.
  • Proficiency using CRM platforms to manage pipeline, activities, and follow‑up.
Preferred
  • Experience selling Functional Service Provider (FSP), outsourcing, or solution‑based services.
  • Existing relationships within the life sciences industry.
  • Experience supporting RFP responses and proposal development.
Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $80,000–$110,000, based on experience.

On‑Target Earnings (OTE): 100% of base salary.

Performance‑based variable compensation tied to meetings generated, pipeline development, and opportunity progression.
