Our client is seeking a Rare Disease Account Manager to join its expanding commercial team, supporting a diverse specialty portfolio across the New England region
. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients living with rare diseases while contributing to the growth of a fast-paced, patient-focused organization.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in educating healthcare professionals, supporting patient access, and driving business performance across a territory focused on specialty and rare disease products. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Market Access, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Commercial Leadership teams while helping shape strategic initiatives and product growth.

You will be empowered to take ownership of your territory, contribute ideas, and participate in strategic planning while building enduring relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and specialty accounts.

In addition to driving sales performance, you will have the opportunity to support projects related to:

  • Market access initiatives
  • Disease awareness campaigns
  • Marketing and educational programs
Key Responsibilities
  • Promote specialty pharmaceutical therapies and support services to healthcare providers, office staff, and specialty clinics.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory business plans to achieve performance goals.
  • Engage healthcare professionals through face-to-face meetings, virtual interactions, email, and telephone outreach.
  • Educate customers on treatment pathways, prescribing processes, and patient support services.
  • Partner closely with patient support and reimbursement teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Support physician and community education initiatives through collaboration with key opinion leaders.
  • Work cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Training teams to deliver effective educational and promotional programs.
  • Support congresses, medical meetings, and field-based educational programs.
  • Identify business opportunities and provide market intelligence to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company policies.
Desired Background & Qualifications Required Experience
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or specialty pharmacy sales experience.
  • Experience with in one or more of the following therapeutic areas:
    • Allergy & Immunology
    • Urology
    • Neuromuscular Disorders
  • Demonstrated success selling specialty pharmaceutical products and associated patient support services.
  • Proven field-based biopharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Hospital, institutional, or specialty account management experience.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
Preferred Experience
  • Rare disease commercial experience.
  • Experience with biologic or specialty therapies.
  • Knowledge of patient access, reimbursement, and specialty pharmacy distribution models.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business planning and territory management capability.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated with a highly collaborative mindset.
