Sales Consultant

In order to be considered for this role, you must have a background in luxury home furnishings. Any experience in floor covering or textiles is a plus.

Landry & Arcari Rugs and Carpeting is offering the opportunity to join our team in any of our three locations (Boston, Salem, and Framingham) as a Senior or Junior Sales Consultant.

At Landry & Arcari, our Sales Consultants guide clients (retail and designers alike) through the buying process and help them navigate our extensive inventory to find the right rug or carpet, then close the sale by collecting all relevant data points and ensuring the client has a positive experience.

Sales Consultants are part of a team that works together to gather product choices, prepare quotes, help with selection, collect project details and CLOSE SALES. We are looking for someone who cares about delivering exceptional customer service, wants to be a contributing member to the showroom-team, and is dedicated to being GREAT ("good" won't cut it anymore).

Primary Roles

Assist Clients

• Work alongside clients, both in the showroom and in the home to provide continual project leadership and assistance, product knowledge, and a seamless customer experience.
• Educate the client of the options available and help them choose the right one for their lifestyle and budget.
• Proactively work towards the development of new customer relationships.
• Maintain communication with all customers, both active and non-active, in a manner consistent with building continued trust and relationship.

Oversee Projects

• Maintain proactive oversight throughout the cycle of a client project.
• Proactively engage any detail or area threatening the project or the overall customer experience.
• Continually assess outstanding approvals, quotes, measures, inquiries, leads, sign-outs and invoices.
• Maintain a highly organized project workflow. This includes capturing customer and project details, managing email (there is a LOT of email), driving the sale toward "next steps", and keeping open communication with the rest of the sales team.

Product

• Maintain a working familiarity with the product inventory and external options available for any potential customer project.
• Interact and partner with manufacturer representatives in order to increase product knowledge and expand tools for product assessment and presentation.
• Proactively participate in merchandising and showroom appearance, in order to display and manage the products in creative, new, and sensible ways.

• Experience Luxury Home Furnishings - You must be able to talk about interior design and luxury home furnishing with confidence.
• Experience with textiles, fabrics, rugs, carpet, drapery, or other industry related materials.
