Area Business Development Manager

US Foods is seeking an Area Business Development Manager to drive growth across a defined territory in our wholesale food service business. In this performance-driven, customer-focused role, you will identify and win new accounts, expand existing relationships, and execute strategic sales plans to grow volume and profit. Partner closely with operations, culinary, and supply chain teams to deliver solutions that help customers succeed, while leveraging US Foods' broad product portfolio, logistics capabilities, and industry expertise.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition within an assigned territory to achieve sales and profit goals
• Grow wallet share with existing customers through strategic account planning and upselling
• Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with US Foods' growth strategies
• Conduct customer needs assessments and propose tailored product and service solutions
• Collaborate with operations, culinary, and supply chain teams to ensure service excellence
• Use CRM tools to manage pipeline, forecast sales, and track performance metrics
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
• Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and business reviews to key stakeholders
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and programs within company guidelines
• Represent US Foods' brand and values while maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships
