Business Development Manager
A leading international law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager, preferably based in its Boston office, though New York and Washington, DC will also be considered. The role sits within the firm's Clients and Markets group, working closely with the Securities and Financial Services (SFS) Department to support new and expanding client relationships across all SFS practices, including Financial Institutions, Investment Management, Securities Litigation and Enforcement, and Digital Assets.
The Business Development Manager serves as a strategic advisor to partners and senior lawyers, helping develop and execute business development plans, lead pitches and RFP responses, and identify growth and cross-selling opportunities. The role also oversees client events and sponsor ships, supports thought leadership initiatives, manages legal directory and award submissions, assists with lateral partner integration, and helps supervise and mentor junior business development team members.
Candidates should bring 10+ years of experience in legal business development, marketing, or professional services, strong strategic and analytical skills, and a track record of working directly with partners and senior stakeholders. Experience supporting regulated industries or financial services practices is preferred. A bachelor's degree is required. The salary range for this role is $162,700–$203,400.
