Catering Sales Manager - New Business Development
Panera Bread | $55,000 Base + Uncapped Commission | Target Compensation: $75,000-$100,000+
We're looking for a salesperson who knows how to find business, open doors, build relationships, and close accounts. Our catering business already has a substantial customer base. Your job isn't to sit back and manage existing orders. Your job is to grow it.
What You'll DoWin new catering customers and reactivate former customers. You will identify prospects, reach decision-makers, build relationships, and turn opportunities into recurring catering business.

- Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
- Banks and professional services firms
- Manufacturing and distribution businesses
- Property management companies
- Nonprofits and community organizations
- Other organizations with recurring catering needs
This is not primarily an order-taking position. We want someone comfortable picking up the phone, walking into businesses, networking, asking for meetings, following up consistently, building a pipeline, and closing business.
What Success Looks Like- Build and maintain an active prospect pipeline
- Make outbound calls and conduct in-person prospecting
- Schedule meetings with potential customers
- Develop relationships with decision-makers
- Conduct catering presentations and tastings
- Follow up consistently with prospects
- Reactivate lapsed catering customers
- Identify organizations with recurring catering opportunities
- Track prospects and sales activity
- Convert first-time customers into repeat catering customers
- Generate approximately $500,000+ in new and reactivated annual catering sales
Base Salary: $55,000
Plus uncapped commission on qualified new and reactivated catering sales. Strong performance can produce total annual compensation of approximately $75,000-$100,000+, with additional upside for exceptional results. There is no commission on the existing active customer base.
