Lapels Laundromat & Dry Cleaning in East Boston is more than a laundromat — we are building a modern laundry experience offering wash-dry-fold, dry cleaning, luggage storage, and convenient pickup & delivery powered by technology.

We are seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial Business Development Representative to grow our commercial, residential, and pickup & delivery business and help develop our future Lapels-owned delivery van and route program
.

Sales & Business Development

• Prospect and secure new customers, including apartment communities, property managers, hotels, Airbnb/short-term rental operators, gyms, spas, salons, restaurants, airport-related businesses, and other local businesses.
• Develop relationships with community organizations, hospitality businesses, and referral partners.
• Promote our Bounce luggage storage location to hotels, travelers, airport-related businesses, and hospitality partners, while cross-promoting Lapels laundry and dry-cleaning services.
• Conduct outreach through in-person visits, telephone, email, networking, and community events.
• Prepare a weekly target prospect list with businesses, addresses, contacts, activity, and follow-up opportunities for management review.
• Identify local business and community events to attend or target each week.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and track prospects, new accounts, active customers, and revenue generated.

Technology & Customer Onboarding

• Learn our ordering platforms, including Cents POS, website and Google ordering, Uber, Door Dash
  , and other pickup & delivery channels.
• Assist commercial and residential customers with account setup, ordering, and scheduling.
• Help increase adoption and recurring use of pickup & delivery services.

Program Development

• Help build sufficient recurring volume to support the launch of a pickup & delivery program
  .
• Assist in developing delivery routes, schedules, recurring pickups, and customer communications.
• Work with ownership and store personnel to create efficient systems for processing, tracking, and delivering Wash-Dry-Fold and dry-cleaning orders.

• Sales, business development, hospitality, community outreach, or account-development experience preferred.
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
• Comfortable prospecting businesses in person and independently developing leads.
• Tech-savvy and willing to learn new platforms.
• Reliable transportation required.

This position offers uncapped earning potential based directly on business generated.

• New-Account Acquisition Commission: Earn a commission for each qualifying new account successfully secured and activated.
• Recurring Revenue Commission: Earn an ongoing percentage of qualifying revenue generated by accounts you personally originate and develop.
