Overview
Jackson Dawson is looking for an energetic Automotive Product and Technology Trainer to lead in-dealership training on both internal combustion (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) products. In this role, you will coach Sales Consultants at select retail dealerships on vehicle technologies, features, functions, and customer benefits; evaluate their product knowledge; and sharpen their presentation and delivery skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, hands-on training sessions covering new ICE and EV products and technologies
- Share insights on product features, advantages, and how they stack up against the competition
- Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with your assigned dealerships
- Take part in ongoing trainer development and skill-building sessions
- Complete weekly administrative duties, including time and expense reports and status updates
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Solid knowledge of automotive systems, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape
- Familiarity with the automotive industry and dealership operations; prior dealership experience is a plus
- Proficiency with computer and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and AV equipment setup
- Confidence as a public speaker, with the ability to engage groups of 20-30 participants
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with dealership staff at every level
- Ability to run group presentations in busy, active dealership environments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Genuine passion for the automotive industry
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate and park a company vehicle at your home (business use only)
Physical and Travel Requirements
- Frequent movement throughout dealership facilities
- Extended periods of sitting in vehicles during travel and in-vehicle assessments
