Associate Scientist-Downstream Process Development

Responsibilities
- Design, setup, and execute chromatography runs, including column packing, buffer preparation, method programming, and chromatography skid operation.
- Design, setup, and execute TFF/UFDF runs involving tubing and filter assembly, as well as TFF skid operation.
- Execute TECAN/robocolumn purification methods.
- Handle sample submission logistics for both internal and external testing.
- Perform general downstream tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the lab, such as buffer preparation, column packing, and tracking critical downstream-specific consumables.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations of experimental data, presenting findings, conclusions, and next steps to the larger Tech Ops team.
Essential Skills
- 1 – 3 years of experience in downstream process development.
- Proficiency in ÄKTA (UNICORN) method writing.
- Experience in column packing, buffer design & preparation, and filtration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with TFF skid operation.
- Experience with liquid handlers such as TECAN or similar.
- Experience with scale-up and scale-down models in various unit operations.
- Proficiency in sterile/aseptic techniques and low-endotoxin prep.
- Experience with tech transfer and batch record document writing and review.
Work Environment
This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence 4 days a week with 1 day remote. Depending on lab workload, full 5-day onsite attendance may be required. The standard schedule is from 9am to 5pm. You will support a close-knit team currently consisting of 2 members, providing crucial assistance given their 5-project workload.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
