Job Summary The Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center) is an academic research and policy center. Our mission is to increase the integrity, safety and rigor of global clinical trials. We define emerging challenges in global clinical trials and create and implement ethical, actionable, and practical solutions. We do this by engaging diverse stakeholders and convening collaborative multidisciplinary teams made up of individuals from industry, academia, patients and patient advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, and regulatory agencies to address critical issues arising in the conduct and oversight of clinical trials.

The MRCT Center resides within the Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which was founded by Dr. Paul Farmer. The DGHE is the academic and administrative home of the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center.

The MRCT Center is currently accepting applications for bachelor’s and master’s level student interns to work during the 2026-27 academic year with faculty and programmatic staff on a mentored scholarly program related to one or more recently launched and/or ongoing programs covering a range of content areas.

Student efforts may include the opportunity to work on narrative or scoping literature reviews and/or contribute to conceptual or normative work. Alternatively, and/or additionally, projects may entail empirical analysis of data in publicly available databases, such as Clinical Trials.gov, and a range of qualitative efforts including subject matter expert interviews, group scoping calls, and coding of qualitative data. Students who are interested in ethics, policy, and clinical research are encouraged to reach out to discuss potential research opportunities and their specific interests.

The successful candidate will work closely with the MRCT Center team in a rich learning environment. This position is designed for a student researcher to join the MRCT Center in a part-time position (paid hourly, up to 15 hours/week) during the academic year.
