Position
Security Officer – Patrol – Boston, MA
Pay & Schedule$25.10 per hour. Full-time and part-time overnight shifts available.
Driver’s LicenseValid driver’s license with a minimum of three years of clean driving record required.
Responsibilities- Respond to emergency situations in person.
- Patrol premises outdoors in all weather conditions, monitoring for threats or emergencies.
- Use modern technology to monitor alarm signals and dispatch security personnel, following standard operations procedures.
- Answer incoming calls and coordinate incident responses individually or as part of a team.
- Review security footage and conduct investigations of incidents.
- Remain calm and effective in fast‑paced environments.
- Monitor multiple premises, detect irregularities, suspicious behavior, or security breaches.
- Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
- Communicate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and other agencies as necessary.
- Conduct foot patrols of assigned areas.
- Write detailed daily incident reports.
- Maintain proper completion and submission of all forms related to patrol activities and duties.
- Respond to assistance requests and evaluate appropriate actions.
- Comply with all on‑site operations manuals and post orders.
- Assume additional duties as required by the client or Northeast Security, Inc.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy: proficient with MS Windows, Outlook, One Note, and multi‑screen setups.
- Prior law enforcement experience or related field in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to de‑escalate irate tenant/customer calls and access requests.
- Must have a neat and professional appearance.
- Dependable means of transportation.
- Clear and effective communication in English (written and verbal).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Successful completion of all pre‑employment background and drug screenings.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Students in the process of obtaining a Criminal Justice degree are encouraged to apply.
- Strong customer service and conflict‑resolution skills.
