Position

Security Officer – Patrol – Boston, MA

$25.10 per hour. Full-time and part-time overnight shifts available.

Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years of clean driving record required.

• Respond to emergency situations in person.
• Patrol premises outdoors in all weather conditions, monitoring for threats or emergencies.
• Use modern technology to monitor alarm signals and dispatch security personnel, following standard operations procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and coordinate incident responses individually or as part of a team.
• Review security footage and conduct investigations of incidents.
• Remain calm and effective in fast‑paced environments.
• Monitor multiple premises, detect irregularities, suspicious behavior, or security breaches.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
• Communicate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and other agencies as necessary.
• Conduct foot patrols of assigned areas.
• Write detailed daily incident reports.
• Maintain proper completion and submission of all forms related to patrol activities and duties.
• Respond to assistance requests and evaluate appropriate actions.
• Comply with all on‑site operations manuals and post orders.
• Assume additional duties as required by the client or Northeast Security, Inc.

• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy: proficient with MS Windows, Outlook, One Note, and multi‑screen setups.
• Prior law enforcement experience or related field in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to de‑escalate irate tenant/customer calls and access requests.
• Must have a neat and professional appearance.
• Dependable means of transportation.
• Clear and effective communication in English (written and verbal).
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of all pre‑employment background and drug screenings.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Students in the process of obtaining a Criminal Justice degree are encouraged to apply.
