Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Inc. Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals to advance our mission. This is a Per Diem - nights position in hospital security services, focusing on maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
- Provide a safe and secure environment by enforcing hospital security regulations and patrolling assigned areas, reporting potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences in a timely manner.
- Investigate complaints or potential criminal conduct; assist in restraining patients as necessary; provide protective services.
- Maintain excellent customer service skills; participate in arrest of criminal suspects under the authority of State Special Police license, if applicable.
- Identify unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas/property to help prevent theft, injuries, or damages to hospital property, patients, visitors, and employees.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Investigate thefts and other complaints, question individuals involved, notify appropriate law enforcement agencies, detain individuals as appropriate, and participate in subsequent court proceedings as required.
- Prepare and submit written reports, log incidents, and keep the Supervisor informed at all times.
- Maintain accountability for valuables and forms of evidence; ensure safekeeping and documentation.
- Operate as Dispatcher using integrated security systems; dispatch personnel to occurrences and calls for assistance; maintain documentation.
- Assist with workplace and domestic victims; respond to medical emergencies; assist in restraint of patients when authorized; protect dignitaries; control pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Voluntary participation in departmental committees, task forces, and teams as applicable.
- Education
:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. - Licenses and Credentials
:
Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License (State License). - Experience
: 3-5 years preferred in hospital, security/police, emergency medical, or customer services. - Knowledge,

- Pay Range: $22.22 - $31.71/Hourly
