Compliance Officer III (260003KE)

Assists Director of Safety and Security to oversee all duties related to the Metro Boston Security Team Specialist Department, Metro Boston Transportation services, and Materials Management. Provides direct supervision to Security Team Specialist supervisors, Inventory Control Coordinator, and Chauffeur. Enforces all Safety and Security regulations, access control, and parking regulations. Collects and analyzes data related to safety, security, and incident reporting/debriefing and provides reports to Area Leadership.

Assists with maintaining emergency management plans, conducts disaster and fire drills, and ensures proper documentation is on file. Performs related work as required.

Schedule: Full‑time, 37.5 hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday off.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of the Security Team Specialist department, Materials Management, and Transportation services.
  • Provide direct supervision of Security Team Specialist IIs, Inventory Control Coordinator, and Chauffeur.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of all monthly reports such as felony report, vehicle mileage report, security report, and overtime database.
  • Order all Security Team Specialist uniforms, equipment, and transportation supplies; maintain the uniform supply room and the two‑way radio communication system for Fuller.
  • Oversee documentation of personnel related duties involving Security Team Specialist, Materials Management, and Transportation departments.
  • Ensure timely completion of IT, HR, and Area expectations regarding onboarding and offboarding tasks of supervisee team.
  • Promote, reinforce, and model the Department and Area’s commitment to Race, Equity and Inclusion to support a safe, respectful and healthy workplace.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies for the facility.
  • Maintain Security Alarm Systems such as panic, intrusion, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.
  • Coordinate and maintain key control.
  • Attend all annual DMH mandatory in‑service trainings.
  • Liaise with various private, local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Lead collection and analysis of data for security and transport issues, including incident reporting and debriefing.
  • Ensure that all Security Team Specialists, Inventory Control Coordinator, and Chauffeur complete mandatory trainings.
  • Maintain Narcan supply for all Metro Boston Area sites, collect Narcan protocols, and ensure STS AED compliance; provide annual Narcan and AED protocol checks.
  • Oversee all emergency management plans.
  • Sort, review, file the STS daily paperwork and bring incidents or issues to Director’s attention.
  • Review and analyze department data to assess progress and effectiveness; recommend changes in procedures as needed.
  • Assist Director of Safety and Security with site emergency plans and HHAN support.
  • Assist Director of Safety and Security with maintaining Office of Vehicle Management compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate ADA regulations for the facility.
  • Review all Security Team Specialists incident reports and follow up with appropriate persons.
  • Perform other related duties, as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to work with patients in a respectful and humane manner.
  • Ability to use investigative techniques to obtain information.
  • Ability to supervise, including planning and assigning work, controlling work through periodic reviews and or evaluations, determining training needs, providing training, and taking appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Capacity to make decisions and act quickly in dangerous or emergency situations.
  • Ability to analyze and determine applicability of data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Police Administration and techniques of supervision.
  • Knowledge of criminal law and police rules and regulations.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
  • Experience in Emergency Management, Joint Commission and CMS accreditation compliance, Health and Safety compliance, and providing trainings.
