Job DescriptionAllied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Armed Security Officer for State Site in Plymouth, MA.
Position DetailsPosition type:
Part Time.
Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Pay: $23.79 per hour (includes paid orientation and training). Minimum requirement:
Concealed carry permit and at least one year related experience.
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, traffic‑related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, while documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, roadways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazardous conditions, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate in accordance with post orders and applicable firearm protocols, maintaining preparedness to support public‑facing operations and coordinated response efforts when needed.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
