Responsibilities
  • The Public Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling, monitoring electronic surveillance, responding to emergency incidents, disturbances, and requests for assistance in accordance with the Crisis Management Plan and department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain smooth operation of garage entry and exit processes; provide excellent customer service with garage operational issues; take immediate and effective action to minimize service disruptions to staff, interns, volunteers, contractors, or guests.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and trainings to ensure knowledge of the Crisis Management Plan and proficiency in emergency procedures to effectively respond to threats to safety and security of staff, guests, and property.
  • Respond to emergency incidents such as bomb threats, fire, natural disasters, power or equipment failure, lost children, medical incidents, disturbances, robbery or other violent acts, and animal escapes.
  • Complete incident reports and document incident response and outcomes; use the iTrak report writing program and conduct limited investigations as needed to compile accurate information.
  • Operate and monitor CCure 9000 and Victor Client CCTV to monitor access and security alarms; operate Skidata garage system to ensure smooth garage entry/exit and assist guests; troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
  • Monitor garage and driveway activity to manage entry/exit; coordinate with State Police as needed and assist guests with alternate parking arrangements.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager.

Salary Range: $18 - $21 USD
