Security Manager
The Security Manager is responsible for the overall management of the security department (event and 24 hr.) to ensure guest, employee, artist and venue safety. Also, controls cost and ensures total guest satisfaction by guarding, patrolling, monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
What This Role Will Do:
- Work in conjunction with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Monitor, screen and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Provides guidance and improvement and implements necessary adjustments for all security procedures related to fans and employees
- Investigates and resolves security complaints. Interacts positively with guests
- Circulate among visitors, fans, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Interviews, recruits, hires, trains, supervises, counsels, inspires and disciplines security staff for the efficient operation of the security department.
- Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the staff. Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments.
- Regularly reviews and evaluates the department and recommends and implements new operational policies and procedures when necessary, including efficient staffing levels
- Performs regular audits with security staff to ensure Global Security standards are being met and exceeded, adheres to SOP's
- Evaluates every event with risk assessment and offers suggestions for our collective success
- Advances security needs with upcoming shows (concerts and private events alike) to ensure the venue is properly staffed and prepared for events needs
- Ability to work with a diverse group of co-workers and develop strong working relationships across all departments.
What This Person Will Bring:
- College Degree or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 yrs. experience in a similar role. In certain states, a Guard Card is a plus.
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
- A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting
