YOU

As the Deputy Director Aviation Security Operations, you are a strategic and trusted aviation security leader who excels at navigating complex regulatory environments, balancing risk with operational needs, and building strong partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. You bring sound judgment, integrity, and a data-driven mindset, remaining calm and decisive under pressure while leading high-performing teams, fostering accountability, and continuously strengthening the organization's security posture through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What you will do:
  • Demonstrates exceptional expertise in aviation security regulations and compliance, with the ability to interpret complex requirements, assess organizational impacts, and provide strategic recommendations that support both security objectives and operational needs.
  • Brings a forward-thinking and risk-based approach to security leadership, identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating emerging threats and technologies, and developing practical solutions that strengthen the overall security posture across diverse operating environments.
  • Builds credibility and trust with executive leadership, regulatory agencies, law enforcement partners, labor organizations, airlines, and other stakeholders through strong communication, sound judgment, collaboration, and the ability to influence outcomes in complex and highly visible situations.
  • Leads high-performing teams with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, using data to drive decisions, effectively managing resources, and remaining calm, decisive, and responsive in a 24/7 environment where security, safety, and public confidence are paramount.
What you offer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management required.
  • 10 years’ experience in security, public safety, or aviation operations, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage complex programs, and collaborate with senior government, law enforcement, and industry partners. Experience in public safety and security at a major airport is preferred. Demonstrated skills in working with senior aviation officials, federal, state and local law enforcement officials, and airport tenants preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation security regulations, including TSA requirements, FAA regulations, ICAO standards, and airport security protocols, with the ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, clearances, and certifications.
