Key Responsibilities- Patrol assigned areas of the healthcare facility on foot to ensure safety and security
- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive/restricted areas
- Control access by verifying identification and visitor credentials
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including disturbances or medical emergencies
- De‑escalate conflicts using calm and professional communication
- Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries
- Enforce facility policies and procedures in a respectful and professional manner
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
- Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Conflict resolution and de‑escalation skills

- High school diploma or GED required
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Previous security experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑stress situations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for report writing and monitoring systems
- Clean background check and drug screening required
Physical Requirements
- Hospital or healthcare campus setting
- Requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
- May include evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
- Exposure to sensitive and emotional situations common in healthcare environments
