This is a Labor Service position.

Brief Job Description (essential Functions of the Job)

Under general supervision, operates and is responsible for a variety of special heavy motor equipment requiring a Commercial Driver's License & a Hoisting License and/or requiring unusual skill.

Responsibilities

• May supervise a group of equipment operators or laborers; or be responsible for the maintenance and care of a small number of pieces of equipment.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Required to work any emergency as directed by the Chief of Streets or designee.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

• Must possess any and all licenses required by the Mass. Dept. of Public Safety to operate any special heavy motor equipment, including a valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and a Hoisting License.
• Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
• Applicants must be available to work any assigned shift, in any assigned location.
