Position: License HVAC Mechanic 40 Hours

Work Shift:

Night (United States of America). FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance of heating, cooling and ventilating components common to building operations.
  • Operate, install, repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as air handlers, exhaust fans, automatic valves, pneumatic and electrical controls, refrigeration systems, space heating and cooling units.
  • Respond to emergencies (e.g., floods, power outages) during off-shift hours as directed by the department supervisor.
  • Participate in snow removal as required by the Maintenance Department.
  • Complete record-keeping and written reports as part of daily routine.
Required Qualifications
  • Vocational or Technical training in HVAC required.
  • Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
  • Certificate 1 CFC Universal Certificate required.
  • 3-5 years related work experience required.
  • Excellent familiarity with Building Automation Systems.
  • Experience with brazing, silver solder and pipe alterations.
  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Physical Requirements

Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Employee may need to stand or move around for the majority of the shift.
