Job DescriptionThe HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, installing and repairing HVAC/R equipment to provide quality service that meets guest and member expectations and supports safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Assemble, install, test, and maintain HVAC/R equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Complete tasks assigned through the work order process.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment to locate and correct problems.
- Inspect HVAC/R systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring code compliance.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure emergency and safety work orders are handled promptly.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs of mechanical rooms to identify and correct potential problems.
- Update and order parts for inventory used for above equipment.
- Maintain accurate repair logs and parts inventory.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.
- Relay pertinent information to management.
- Turn in daily time tickets.
- Maintain a positive teamwork attitude and keep work areas clean.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years commercial HVAC/R experience.
- Trade school diploma in air conditioning and refrigeration required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet company MVR requirements.
- BOMA Certification preferred, CFC certification required.
- HVAC license required.
- 3 years prior guest service experience, preferably in hotels.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Ability to work outside and endure varying weather conditions and environmental factors.
