Service Electrician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Electrician to perform residential electrical service work. This role involves providing estimates to customers, invoicing, collecting payments, and assisting with high‑ticket sales calls. The electrician will manage the service van and perform troubleshooting, wiring, installations, and repairs. This role will require a journeyman license and will be a service position where you are on the road going into clients' homes.
This position pays $80,000 salary plus 20% commission on all services that are done.
- Perform residential electrical service work.
- Provide estimates to customers when on job sites.
- Invoice and collect payments from customers.
- Assist sales teams with high‑ticket sales calls as needed.
- Manage and maintain the service van.
- Journeyman Electrician License.
- 5 years of residential electrical experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, wiring, installation, and repair.
- Experience with conduit bending and working with blueprints and switch gear.
Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification is a nice‑to‑have and can be obtained through company‑provided training.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to identify electrical issues.
- Proficiency in using an iPad on‑site.
- Ability to estimate fixture requirements.
