General Maintenance Worker

WORK Inc., a nonprofit human services provider in Dorchester is seeking an individual with a disability to perform general maintenance duties at the Barnes Building, 495 Summer St. in South Boston. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC is required.

• Assist in the performance of routine maintenance and repair tasks in the areas of plumbing, light electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and sheet rocking.
• Carry out written and oral instructions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools.

• Minimum two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.

$27.15 per hour. Monday through Friday full-time, 40 hours per week with the ability to work nights or weekends based on building needs. Snow removal and other emergency work may be required on weekends based on weather and building needs.
