Maintenance Mechanic 1st Class

Responsibilities

• 1.Responsible for adhering to assigned work orders, conducts building tours as directed.
• 2.Performs a variety of minor repair functions.
• 3.Monitor the Building Automation System and responds to alarms, fire alarms, utility interruptions, and makes required notifications.
• 4.Troubleshoots problems with equipment on all floors of all hospital buildings to assess the nature of the problem, the urgency for the user, and instigates an appropriate response.
• 5.Maintains communication links with Public Safety Department personnel.
• 6.Familiar with emergency response procedures to ensure the timely response of staff to prevent losses.
• 7.Subject to a call in anytime for emergencies.
• 8.Respond to problems of all trades during off shift hours as required.
• 9. Other tasks as needed

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

• Heavy Equipment Mechanics Experience 2-3 years required

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
