HVAC Controls Technician II – Building Automation Systems (BAS)

We are looking for an HVAC Controls Technician II to support BAS installations, programming, and service, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality digital control systems to our customers.

• Provide responsive and professional customer service, building and maintaining long‑term customer relationships.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
• Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
• Provide technical support to HVAC technicians.
• Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
• Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
• Provide training and follow‑ups for customers and operations personnel.
• Complete work orders and review them with customers for accuracy.
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes and enhance customer service.

• Factory Certified Training, Online Training Courses, or other professional training in the HVAC industry.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
• Current first aid / CPR card.

• Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry.
• Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.
• Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices.
• Fundamentals of BACnet protocol.
• Operation of HVAC equipment and controls.
• Understanding of written sequences of operations.
• Reading of low‑voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.
• Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification.
• Experience with integration protocols (BACnet MST/IP, LON, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL).
• Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $37.90 to $60.46 in MA, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
