Generator Technician

We are recruiting a highly motivated Generator Technician for a well-established power generation company based out of Canton, MA. This field-based role focuses on servicing commercial and industrial standby generators, including preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable backup power for critical customers. You are paid door-to-door from your house to job sites near you!

Position Offers

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
• Conduct load bank testing and system performance verification
• Replace major components including starters, alternators, controllers, and fuel system components
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial and industrial generator systems
• Respond to service calls and support emergency power restoration when needed
• Communicate clearly with customers while representing the company in the field

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of generator experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
• Desire to work independently in a field service environment
• Customer-facing professionalism and strong communication skills
• Must supply personal hand tools required for mechanical service work

Gen Tech (Non-Generator)

We're hiring a Field Service Technician for a respected power generation company supporting based out of Canton, MA. This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting commercial and industrial standby generator systems to ensure dependable emergency power for mission-critical facilities.

We need a self-motivated, mechanically inclined professional who has worked with diesel engines, heavy equipment, or in military technical roles. You are paid door-to-door from your house to job sites near you!

• Troubleshoot engines, alternators, fuel systems, batteries, wiring, and control panels
• Conduct system testing, including load bank testing and operational performance verification
• Repair or replace components such as starters, sensors, controllers, and mechanical assemblies
• Respond to service calls, support emergency power restoration, and document service work while communicating professionally with customers

Requirements

• 3+ years experience working on diesel engines, heavy equipment, generators, or similar mechanical/electrical equipment
• Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment
• Must supply personal hand tools required for mechanical service work
• Customer-facing professionalism and strong communication skills
