Job Summary

Summary:

Responsible for subfloor preparation and installing a range of floor coverings in commercial locations and site conditions. Installations include textile, resilient, wood and tile products.

Does this position require Patient Care? No

Essential Functions:

Inspects sites to determine the most appropriate flooring solutions.

Removes existing flooring and discards this material, if applicable.

Prepares the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materials.

Installs wood, carpeting, tiles, concrete, and other types of flooring.

Ensures that the flooring materials are well-positioned, secure, and clean.

Educates clients about suitable care for their floors.

Qualifications Education High  School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?

Yes Licenses and Credentials Experience Flooring  Experience 2-3 years preferred

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with floor installation procedures.

Good arithmetic skills.

Capable of independent and group work.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and maneuver heavy equipment.

Ability to work in a hot and varied climate.
