Low Voltage Cabling Technician – Structured Cabling

Great Boston Area - Framingham, MA

Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Cabling Technician in Framingham, MA! Earn $22–$30/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing.

Responsibilities
  • Pull, route, terminate, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling in commercial environments
  • Install and terminate fiber optic cabling (a plus)
  • Dress and organize cabling in MDF/IDF rooms and communication closets
  • Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar testers
  • Punch down voice and data jacks and terminate patch panels
  • Install racks, cabinets, ladder rack, cable tray, and pathway systems
  • Assist with buildouts of telecom rooms and network infrastructure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, and cable schedules
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Work safely on ladders and lifts (comfortable with heights)
Requirements
  • 2+ years of commercial structured cabling experience
  • Experience pulling and terminating CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
  • Basic understanding of cable testing and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with fiber optic installation or termination
  • Experience working in commercial, industrial, or data center environments
  • BICSI certification a plus
  • OSHA or lift certifications
  • Experience installing cable tray or conduit pathways
