We are seeking AV Installation Technicians to support higher‑education audiovisual installation projects across Boston‑area college campuses, including major universities and academic facilities. This is a hands‑on, installation‑focused role supporting classroom and campus room builds. Technicians will work under the direction of project managers and lead technicians performing low‑voltage cabling and AV hardware installation work. The client prioritizes quality workmanship, professionalism, and reliability over speed.
This role offers steady, full‑time hours throughout the summer.
- Pull, route, dress, and secure low‑voltage cabling (Cat5 / Cat6)
- Support classroom and campus AV room builds
- Mount displays, speakers, and other audiovisual hardware
- Assist with general AV installation and setup activities
- Follow installation standards, safety guidelines, and jobsite direction
- Maintain professional conduct while working on active college campuses
- Low‑voltage cabling (Cat5 / Cat6)
- Audiovisual hardware installation
- Basic knowledge of audio and AV systems
- Technical school training or equivalent hands‑on experience
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Team‑oriented and coachable attitude
- Ability to follow installation standards and field direction
- Professional behavior in academic and public environments
This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
