- Perform in‑home measurements and installations of custom window treatment product lines, primarily roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery, wooden blinds, and more
- Learn motorization installation and programming techniques (particularly via Lutron) with complex motorized products
- Provide a world‑class customer experience throughout each measure and install appointment
- Leave a positive lasting impression by demonstrating how to use the product before leaving the job site
- Become skilled at using The Shade Store’s Measure + Install techniques and software systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency of every appointment
- Partner closely with local Design Consultants to ensure a seamless end‑to‑end customer experience
- Communicate and partner regularly with the Headquarters Measure & Install support teams while on‑site
- Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges related to measurement and installation
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience in carpentry, custom installation, or a transferable skilled trade
- Significant experience with a common hand and power tools, including but not limited to power drill, impact driver, and level
- Experience with multiple types of fasteners, anchors, and drill bits
- Proven ability to measure accurately within 1/8” using manual and laser measurers
- Significant customer service and in‑home service experience preferred
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Punctual, reliable, with great work ethic and the highest level of integrity
- Strong understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
- Active driver’s license that is insurable
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb ladders up to 26 ft in height
