AV Installation Technician

TEKsystems seeks reliable, professional AV Installation Technicians to support large‑scale audiovisual installations across multiple Boston‑area college campuses. Technicians will assist with hands‑on room builds and AV hardware installations while working under on‑site project management and field leadership.
The role is ideal for technicians who take pride in clean, organized work, demonstrate professionalism on customer sites, and are eager to learn within structured AV deployments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform AV installations in classroom, lecture hall, and campus environments
- Pull, dress, label, and terminate low‑voltage cabling (CAT6, control cable, speaker wire, etc.)
- Mount and install displays, speakers, cameras, racks, and related AV hardware
- Support room builds and light decommissioning (demo) work
- Follow installation standards, safety requirements, and project direction
- Work closely with project managers and field leadership on site
- Previous experience with AV or low‑voltage installations
- Comfortable performing physical installation work (lifting, ladders, tools)
- Ability to read basic drawings or follow installation instructions
- Reliable transportation to Boston‑area campuses
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis
- Experience in commercial AV environments
- Familiarity with structured AV deployments
- CTS or other AV certifications (not required)
Pay range: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour.
