• Support maintenance efforts of two or more Equity Residential apartment communities under the direction of the General Service Director or Service Manager.
• Respond to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
• Complete make‑ready work and keep all market‑ready apartments prepared.
• Perform general maintenance functions across common areas and grounds, ensuring they are free of trash, debris, and snow when applicable.
• Conduct on‑call emergency service as required.
• Execute special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Report maintenance concerns for repairs to the Service Manager.
• Perform scheduled maintenance program activities.
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws and internal policies, initiatives, and systems regarding maintenance.
• Attend and participate in training programs as required.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

• Hands‑on general service maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and perform interior repairs and painting.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (required if you will operate a motorized vehicle such as a car or golf cart).
• Computer literacy and ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, for all work‑related purposes.
• Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends, and to respond to emergencies after normal business hours on an on‑call basis.
• Ability to use a personal smartphone for certain job functions, ensuring it has updated software, is password‑protected, and complies with in‑house security systems and operations software.
• Ability to perform numerous physical activities requiring hands, arms, legs, and overall body movement, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting, and handling materials.
• Frequent lifting, grasping, and carrying of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.

• Trade school certification/diploma.
• EPA Section 608 Type I, Type II, or Universal certification.
• Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience.

Salary
: $25.68 - $31.39 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives.
