Position Location: This is an embedded technician role supporting a single-site location in Cambridge, MA, with the position based out of the Canton, MA branch.
Title: Security Systems Service Technician
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
- Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
- Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
- Identify code and non‑conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
- Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
- Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high‑lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Possess a Massachusetts Class D Low Voltage Electrical License or agree to obtain the license within 3–5 years of employment, in accordance with state licensing requirements. (company will support and cover the cost associated with obtaining this license)
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state‑recognized GED
- 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
- Ability to read/understand design and construction documents

The pay range for this position is $58,976 - $101,102 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
