Maintenance Technician II – Hyde Park, MA
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II to perform a variety of skilled maintenance functions including minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and heating/air issues. The role operates under limited supervision and requires a track record of hands‑on maintenance experience.
Key Responsibilities- Clean out and demolition work to prepare properties for unit turnover.
- General carpentry work such as wallboard repair, counter top/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window and glass repair, door and lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
- Drywall patching, painting, replacement of cover plates, and cleaning of common areas.
- Monitor and organize inventory.
- Deliver supplies using own or company vehicle.
- Snow removal from property at any time.
- Field grounds maintenance: mowing, tree and shrub pruning, weed and debris removal.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties and tasks.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring safety compliance.
- Provide emergency, on‑call service for after‑hours maintenance issues.
- Assist at other properties in the region as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work with arms raised overhead, stand or walk for long periods, climb stairs, bend at waist and knees to lift boxes or furniture, and shovel snow.
Minimum Education , Training and Experience- High School diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of related experience.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry.
- Trade school or college degree.
- CAMT certification.
- Completion of Greenlight Maintenance Learning Plan.
- Skilled in at least two trades (electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and/or carpentry).
- Valid driver's license.
- Technical proficiency with cell phones and tablets.
- Availability for on‑call activity during off hours.
- Ability to speak and understand basic English.
- Must live within 30 minutes of the property unless otherwise approved.
Hourly pay $28.00 – $33.00. Sign‑on bonus $1,000 and a $500 bonus payable with the first paycheck. A $500 bonus payable after 90 days of employment (new hires only).
