Fire Alarm Class D – Fire Alarm Systems Technician

Position Summary
This position reports directly to the Fire Alarm Service Manager or their designated representative. The technician is responsible for servicing and installing a wide range of low‑voltage fire alarm systems and related components. All work must be performed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.
$3,000 Sign-On-Bonus based on experience!!!
Job Responsibilities
- Service, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of low‑voltage fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72, as well as state and local requirements.
- Meet weekly productivity goals established by the Fire Alarm Service Manager.
- Complete administrative tasks including service acknowledgements, NFPA record‑of‑completion documents, and other NFPA 72 documentations.
- Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain required state licensing.
- Protect, maintain, and properly use company‑issued tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including safe driving practices, PPE requirements, and lockout/tag‑out policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked service vehicle in accordance with company standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Fire Alarm Service Manager.
Job Qualifications
- Massachusetts Class D or Journeyman License required.
- Fire alarm experience required; with working knowledge of NFPA 72.
- Strong understanding of wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
- Experience in bending and installing conduit is preferred.
- Ability to participate in an on‑call rotation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with iPhone/iPad applications.
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
