Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Review the project with the Project Manager to understand the estimate, workforce hours, schedule, specs, drawings, and submittals.
- Develop the most effective way to build the project.
- Identify prefab opportunities and communicate with the Prefab Manager.
- Prioritize tasks and use a six‑week schedule to manage workload.
- Ensure the GF/FM understand the plan.
- Review any field‑install drawings with GF/Foreman and the Design Team.
- Use common toolsets (e.g., assemblies) to keep field‑install drawings consistent.
- Utilize the model to create a Bill of Materials.
- Visit jobsites to ensure the field understands prefab intent and installation.
- Train new crews on prefab means and methods.
- Seek field feedback to improve projects and processes.
- Communicate regularly with the PM and Field to keep company standards shared and followed.
- Attend project coordination meetings and represent Gaston as the technical expert.
- Work toward on‑time deliveries.
- Be accountable, take ownership of your role, and hold others accountable to avoid unnecessary delays or issues.
- Previous electrical design experience or 8–10 years of commercial electrical field experience; coordination experience or familiarity with the coordination process is required.
- Independently design multiple projects.
- Familiar with all electrical systems.
- Thorough understanding of Electrical, Fire Alarm, Low Voltage systems and their field/prefab/coordination constructability.
- Able to layout electrical systems.
- Able to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment but has a desire to lead.
- Proactive, critical thinker, and analytical.
- Communicates confidently, effectively, and professionally (verbal and written).
- Comfortable using and learning new technology (MS Office required; Bluebeam preferred; Revit preferred; MS Teams and Navisworks optional).
- Handles and prioritizes multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Perform the duties of this job, which includes regular talking and hearing; moving within the office; extended computer work; and extended periods of sitting.
Work EnvironmentLong periods spent in front of a computer, occasional movement within the office or conference rooms, and standard office noise levels.

Compensation Range$133,000 – $173,000, plus bonus eligibility.
