Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
We’re looking for a Field Technician to join our team and deliver high‑quality construction, repair, and maintenance work across a variety of job sites. This is a hands‑on role that blends technical skill, mobility, and strong collaboration with both internal teams and clients. As a key on‑site contributor, you’ll execute carpentry, construction, and general maintenance tasks to precise quality standards, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
Responsibilities- Rough and finish carpentry, including framing, drywall, doors, windows, cabinetry, and structural repairs.
- General maintenance and on‑site repairs, addressing minor fixes and more complex plumbing, electrical, or structural issues.
- Follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate, code‑compliant work.
- Apply interior and exterior finishes, such as paint, stains, and sealants, to complete projects to high‑quality standards.
- Troubleshoot on‑site issues and deliver efficient, professional solutions.
- Maintain strict safety standards, including PPE use and adherence to building codes and company protocols.
- Communicate clearly with Client Managers, supervisors, and team members regarding progress, issues, and timelines.
- Document work thoroughly, including materials used, time spent, job status, and photo documentation.
- Operate, maintain, and organize tools and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Travel to various job sites and support on‑call or emergency service needs as required.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to share best practices and troubleshoot common field challenges.
- Model the company’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Accountability, and Results both on and off the clock.
This position is based in the Boston/Metro West area, with daily travel to client properties throughout the region. Full‑time role (up to 40+ hours per week), with flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as needed to meet project deadlines or client expectations.
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Hands‑on experience in carpentry and general maintenance/repair.
- Expertise in mechanical systems, residential construction, and high‑end property maintenance.
- Strong organizational, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a client‑first mindset and a focus on delivering white‑glove service.
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards; ability to enforce safety protocols on active job sites.
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong alignment with company values.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and use tools and materials as needed for on‑site work.
- Ability to commute to Boston / Metro West Area
- Expertise in mechanical systems, residential construction, and high‑end property maintenance
- Experience in roles with hands‑on experience in carpentry
