JSM Airport Services is seeking a highly motivated Journeyman Electrician at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). This is a career-track opportunity, and we are looking for an individual ready to commit to a long-term professional future with our company, starting with an expected commitment of one year or more
. The primary responsibilities include providing electrical guidance, maintenance, and oversight of all mechanical/electrical systems covered under our maintenance contract, assisting other technicians with challenging electrical repairs, and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Starting at $36.00 (Dependent on Experience)
Must be able to work as scheduled (this is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week operation). Holidays will be included if they fall on a scheduled workday. Shift assignments are based on the airport and company requirements, as well as a technician's strengths, skill set, and experience. Our technicians are expected to be flexible in terms of prospective shift assignments.

- Provide electrical code guidance and direction on new equipment installations and ensure all new equipment/projects are wired to meet code/standards
- Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit‑breaker panels, etc.
- Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing systems and facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
- Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit
- Receive and complete work order
- Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates
- Maintain accurate records on material and labor used
- Maintain inventory of company‑owned tools, equipment, and materials
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean
- Work with construction contractors, airport representatives and supervisors to complete projects
- Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures
- Respond to emergency calls as needed
- If there is no specific electrical work to be addressed, assistance/support will be expected in other segments of the contract with the airport
- Safety and compliance training as assigned
- Perform other reasonable ancillary duties to support the operation and our customer
- High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED)
- Some post high school education or training preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have at least three to five (3‑5) years of experience in the commercial electrical field
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors
- Knowledge of local electrical codes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
- Ability up to lift up to 70 pounds; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally with or without accommodation, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
