Journeyman Electrician

What

You’ll Do
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems—wiring, panels, fixtures, and devices— in new construction and remodel settings.
  • Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and job specs to execute layouts accurately.
  • Ensure every job meets NEC and Massachusetts electrical code, and stands up to inspection the first time.
  • Keep your truck stocked and organized, and communicate material needs before they become a delay.
  • Coordinate directly with the owner, clients, and other trades on-site to keep jobs moving on schedule.
  • Maintain clean, accurate daily logs and job documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license, in good standing.
  • Solid working knowledge of the NEC and Massachusetts electrical code.
  • Comfortable reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a CORI (background) check.
  • Able to work on ladders, be on your feet all day, and periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer knowledge for job documentation and communication.
  • Experience with both new construction and remodel/service work.
  • Own hand tools.
  • Experience training or working alongside apprentices.
