Job Description Summary

Mechanic – responsible for preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment such as Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to avoid downtime.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and record work performed.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 5+ years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas).
• Strong preference for candidates who have previous experience on similar equipment.

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Flexibility with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more; work may be indoors or outdoors.

$39.61 – $41.61 per hour, depending on the agreed rate under the local collective bargaining agreement.

Experience as a Shop Mechanic, Technician, Service Foreman, Service Manager, Shop Manager, Mechanic Supervisor, Technician Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, Lead Technician, Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Service Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician, Hydraulic Mechanic, ASE Certified Mechanic, IFPS Certified Technician qualifies.
