About the Role
As a CBRE Mobile HVAC Technician
, you will provide mobile maintenance and repair services across a portfolio of facilities supporting a major telecommunications client. This highly independent role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys variety in their workday, solving technical challenges, and delivering exceptional service to customers.
This position is part of CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services team, which delivers preventive maintenance, repairs, and operational support for critical building systems. You will primarily focus on commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), while also performing light plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance tasks.

- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, with a primary focus on rooftop units (RTUs) and related equipment.
- Travel between assigned sites using a company-provided service vehicle to support a portfolio of telecommunications facilities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and building system issues to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
- Complete light plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks as needed to support facility operations.
- Review assigned work orders, identify required materials, estimate repair times, and document work performed.
- Inspect equipment and building systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve system performance and reduce operating costs.
- Assist with the installation, modification, and improvement of building equipment and systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management regarding maintenance activities, repair status, and operational concerns.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and on schedule.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company service vehicle.
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repairing rooftop units (RTUs).
- Working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, equipment documentation, and technical information.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel and Word.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently across multiple locations.
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, work in varying environmental conditions, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds or more.
