Position OverviewGreene Constructionisseekingaskilledanddependable Diesel Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of our fleet and heavy equipment. This role is critical to ensuring our trucks and machinery remain safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance across all job sites.
Key Responsibilities- Performroutinemaintenanceandrepairsondieselengines,includinginspections, adjustments,andpartsreplacement
- Diagnoseandtroubleshootmechanicalissuesusingdiagnostictoolsandequipment
- Identifyandrepairelectricalandwiringissues
- Perform maintenance and repairs on air brake systems in compliance with safety standards
- Repair and maintain trucks and equipment, including Mack, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Peterbilt, and Volvo
- Safelyperformheavyliftingandmanualrepairtaskswhilefollowingallsafetyprotocols
- Maintainaclean,organized,andsafeworkenvironment
- Accuratelyinputmaintenancerecords,repairs,andissuesintoHCSS (Equipment
360) - Applystrongproblem-solvingskillsandattentiontodetailinallworkperformed
- Adapttochangingprioritiesandsupportongoingprojectsandoperationalneeds
- Provenexperienceasadieselmechanicorsimilarrole
- Strongmechanicalknowledgeofdieselengines,trucks,andheavyequipment
- Abilitytodiagnoseandrepairmechanicalandelectricalissues
- Familiaritywithairbrakesystems
- Abilitytoworkinafast-paced,hands-onenvironment
- Strongworkethic,reliability,andattentiontodetail
- Familiaritywithbrandssuchas Mack,CAT,Komatsu,Volvo,and Peterbilt
- ExperiencewithHCSSorsimilarmaintenancetrackingsystems
- CDLClass
