Job SummaryResponsible for joining metal parts together to create products or structures using a variety of welding techniques.

Essential Functions- Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding plans to determine the appropriate welding technique and materials needed.
- Setting up welding equipment and ensuring it is in proper working order.
- Welding and fusing metal parts together using a variety of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Inspecting and testing welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintaining and repairing welding equipment as needed.
- Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing welding tasks.
- Communicating with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure welding projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

- Proficiency in using a variety of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

- Completion of a welding program at a trade school or vocational school.
