Job Description
As a Service Specialist I, you will contribute to the excellent services for persons served by providing leadership in discrete service areas to a program in the areas of activities and recreation, dual disorders, housing, employment, or education. Using a strengths-based rehabilitative approach, the Service Specialist will develop, plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of services relating to activities of recreation, housing, employment and other specialized services.
You will implement service plan interventions with persons served as well provide direct training and support for the specialized skill area the client is working on.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining client related documentation, advocating for clients and providing shift coverage at residential programs on an as needed basis.

- A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior Human Services experience.
- Strong time management and writing skills.
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least one year.
- All applicants must be able to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment.
All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record check.
